About the Challenge

The BDO Brisbane Coot-tha Challenge is Australia's most unique ride. The 2012 event will take on a new and exciting route, still including the iconic climb of Mount Coot-tha, but taking in some of Brisbane's other great landmarks as well.

Join with thousands of other cyclists from all over Australia and challenge yourself with this unique ride that is guaranteed to test your fitness! Whether aiming for your best time for the climb or simply the satisfaction of finishing the ride this is the event for you.

Starting and finishing in South Brisbane, this fully supported ride will have rest stops with food and water, police assistance, route marshals, first aid, mechanical support and two support wagons if you're having an off day to keep you moving, or advance you to the next rest stop.

The BDO Brisbane Coot-tha Challenge while providing you with a cycling challenge also raises money for charity. Since its inception in 2008 the event has raised over $85,000 for charity. In 2012 the event will be raising money for The Endeavour Foundation. Just by participating in the ride you will help to raise vital funds for The Endeavour Foundation.

Bicycle Queensland will be publishing a training program brought to you by our event sponsors to help you prepare for the challenge. The training program will assist you with safety, bike knowledge, riding in groups, fitness and specific hill climbing techniques.
